Mobile Home Provisions Of Interest to Delegation
A nine member Choteau delegation urged strict trailer rules at a Tuesday hearing on the city's proposed zoning ordinance. They fear temporary moves leave unsightly messes, while officials say restrictions aim to deter trailer incursions without discriminating against owners. Provisions include minimum 240 square feet, sewer connection, solid foundations, and decor matching the trailer. Some fear multiple trailers on adjacent lots could resemble a trailer court, though officials argue two lots may be needed for typical entries. Attendees and commission members attended the session, outlining positions and enforcement questions.
