Funeral Services for Charles Klockler Held Sunday
Funeral services for Charles Klockler killed in a Wednesday automobile crash near Vaughn were held Sunday at the Masonic temple. The crowd filled the hall and sidewalk as the procession neared the cemetery. Chateau lodge No. 44 A F & A M attended. Rev. Edwin Dover spoke on He was a good man. Music by a quartet and piano accompanied by Mrs. M. M. Webb. Masonic burial rites followed with J. G. Jackson directing the service. Pallbearers were Algon Udin Otto Wagnild EB Forrest L B Kay Earl Wood J W Kerr.

Death Claims Mrs. J Zgoda at Home Near Bynum
Mrs. Anna Zgoda wife of farmer Joe Zeeda died Friday after long illness of internal cancer at the family home four miles west of Bynum. Born October 23 1879 she was of Polish parentage and lived in Minnesota before moving to Montana. Survived by her husband six children and siblings, funeral held Monday at the Bynum Catholic church with high mass and local clergy assisting.

Senator Walsh Dies En Route to Washington
Senator Thos J Walsh died at 6 30 am on a train from Florida to Washington. He suffered a heart attack and was found by his wife in a strucken condition, dying two minutes later. He had just married in Havana and honeymooned in Florida and was en route to inaugural exercises with plans to become attorney general in Roosevelt's cabinet. His death shocked Chateau readers and many nationwide.

Sylvester Hoeschen Dies After Acute Temporary Mental Derangement
Sylvester Hoeschen a well known Pendroy youth shot himself early Sunday morning with a .22 rifle after a period of temporary mental derangement. He was 22, born August 21 1910 in New Munich Minnesota and later moved with his family to Porter bench. Coroner Chas Roberts County Attorney B I Packer and Sheriff J L Billings found no foul play and held no inquest. Funeral services were held at St Luke's church with high mass. Pallbearers included Paul Rose Albert Gebhart Herbert Moon Pete Zgoda Frank Zgoda and Claude Connole. The family survivors are his parents two brothers Arnold and Max and two sisters Mrs Nettie McDonald Conrad and Mrs Mollie Nelson Tacoma Washington.

Monday night the American Legion and American Legion Auxiliary held a joint meeting with 38 in attendance. Mrs. C. H. Huffman led a Washington bicentennial program and presided. The program included songs, pledges, Washington papers, readings, vocal and piano numbers, a talk, dancing, and refreshments. Several veterans joined in army games afterward.

Captain Smith Awarded Silver Star Medal by Congress
Captain C James Smith of this city received the Silver Star Medal for bravery at Cantigny in World War I. Congress recently voted that holders of the Silver Star citation receive the medal. He led Company F 16th Infantry First Division and was among the first National Army officers promoted to the regular army.

Referee Dinty Moore Heads to Qudyard for Class 3 Tourney
Rudyard Moore leaves yesterday for Qudyard in Hill County to referee a three day tournament for Class 3 high schools in the north district. He recently finished officiating at a Great Falls tournament and is a former Teton high basketball star gaining wider recognition.
Red Cross February Report Details Teton Chapter Aid
February figures show 45 families and 15 children aided by the Teton Red Cross. The chapter distributed 59 sacks of flour to 23 families through two committeemen and delivered 939 garments plus 187 pairs of hose and socks. Members also note production work by church circles and list donors including Mrs. Hentges and Mr. Bloomdahl who contributed food clothes and funds.
