The Leota Mining and Manufacturing Co. board orders a drilling machine from Star Goodwill Co. of Akron Ohio. It will arrive in four to five weeks and drilling will start in the Bannatyne oil field near Collins. The unit guarantees 3000 feet depth and holes up to 12 inches diameter.

Jeff Previtt Died At Shelby Last Week

Jeff Previtt a rancher from the Sweet Grass country died at Shelby suddenly on Wednesday night of last week at his mother in law Mrs. Martin s home. An autopsy by Dr Powers and Dr Clark followed. Evan B Jones of Conrad acted as coroner and a jury found death due to cholamia intestinal poisoning. He leaves a wife and daughter and a brother in the east. Funeral services were held at Mrs. Martin s home and at the grave with interment in Shelby cemetery.
