County agent Fred Willson announced that spraying has begun in the Farmington area with CO Edwards in charge. Farmers are urged to report weed types and patch sizes to the county agent and the county will supply the machine while farmers pay for materials and labor.

Mrs Aslak Hanson Succumbs After Long Illness
Mrs Aslak Hanson a well known Cleiv area matron died last Friday at home after a heart condition. Born in Norway in 1872 she came to the U S as a child and lived on Fairfield bench since 1902 with her husband Ashak Hanson and nine children. Funeral Monday at the Lutheran church with Rev Lunde in charge and burial in church cemetery.

Kalispell dispatch lists several marriage licenses issued this month. James Nevin, 28, Oakland California, and Thora P. Kreeness of Kalispell appear among the couples. Forest range inspections report grazing season progress
L H McLean, forest ranger for the Teton district, completed the first of three summer range inspections in Lewis and Clark National Forest. He noted late entrance due to a backward season, sparse grass, drift fences damaged by heavy snows, abundant wildlife including 30 to 40 mountain goats, elk calves, and two bears, and that salt grounds were properly laid out with rules followed. U S Engineer Recalls Boyhood Days in Choteau
James B. Yule, son of early settler Alex Yule, returns to Choteau after 31 years. A 1901 Teton County High School graduate, he recalls Bathing shack with Earl Halladay and notes landmarks remain. Now with the U S Forest Service in Missoula, he works on the coast and geodetic survey project in Chateau.

All-County 4-H Club Picnic Planned on July 10
Preliminary arrangements near completion for the all-county 4-H club picnic to be held Wednesday July 10 on the Teton river two miles southwest of Collins. Grasshopper Threat Seen Less Severe. County Plans Action
County Agent Fred Willson coordinates a preventive plan to counter a grasshopper menace. Seven carloads of poisoned bran already exist, three carloads of unpoisoned bran arrive from Great Falls, and mixing with poison will occur at Chateau Collins and Dutton.
