Teton County Records Big Red Cross Fund Lead
Residents of Teton County contributed to a one hundred million dollar Red Cross emergency fund with about twelve thousand eighty one dollars and six cents reported so far. The county totals, from many localities including Browning Chateau Conrad Valier Cut Bank Brady Dutton and others, exceed contributions from most counties in the state and may rise to twelve thousand five hundred dollars as reports finalize. County Chairman T. O. Larson praised volunteers and noted the Greenfield bench unit near Fairfield awaits laterals and structures while a contractor delay postponed water turn on to land until next year.

Priming at Sun River Canal Advances Toward Delivery

Water has reached near Greenfield bend and delivery to start next season seems likely despite no fixed date. Shooting Affray At Vaughn Ends In Killings At Saloon
On Tuesday afternoon at Vaughn a shooting affray left Roy P. Stone a taxi driver killed and Corbin Trotter dead after an exchange with a freight crew. Stone and Conductor Frank Kessel were wounded and taken to Columbus hospital in Great Falls in serious condition. The incident followed a dispute when Trotter insisted on accompanying Stone and the woman known as his wife. Stone previously operated a Dupuyer saloon.

Choteau Church Is Free of Debt
In Choteau on Tuesday morning St. Stephen's Episcopal Church was solemnly consecrated by Bishop W F Faber to mark its debt free title. Rev L F Haley and the guild had labored years for this achievement and the ceremony included reading the donation instrument at the church door. Later Bishop Faber led a confirmation class with Mrs Dotterer Miss Jeffries Mary Mae Lean and Margaret Jackson among the members. Four others were absent.
