City council weighs grain storage lease and street lighting
At a special Monday night meeting Choteau officials heard Jake Lukistra seek a lease on two blocks south of Bond's Service on Highway 89 for nine grain storage bins tied to a 9 500 0 gushel program. No action was taken on lighting installations. The council discussed annexing the Chris Swenson tract east of Choteau and Mrs Blombere's parcel near Crescert Motel. Permits granted included television antennas to Henry Hef Grant Guckus and C Ex neon sign to Teton Plumbing and Heating. Building permits were issued to John Mathisen for interior additions, Nieves Medina for an moved building addition, John Jaconetty for Sam Elford residence move, and Dick Conklin for a new garage.

Police Court proceedings in Browning led to five day suspended sentences for Tom Warbonnet and Rufus Horn for drunkenness. Clifford J. Edward Carlson and his wife from St. Ja Minn were in a 1951 Dodge when a radio button fell to the floor near Dupuyer. Carlson briefly lost control, grazing the bridge railing. the car sustained about 200 dollars in damage while the couple was uninjured. Carlson paid a 25 dollar bond in Judge Irwin's court.

A county wide cemetery meeting at the courthouse Tuesday night June 15 saw about 30 delegates from Beck Bynum Chateau Dutton Fairfield and Power join the Teton County Cemetery Board to review the expired five year plan. C. K. Malone came back last Saturday from a ten day trip to eastern cities. He attended the University of Michigan graduation exercises in Ann Arbor to see his granddaughter Joanne Malone Nuenke graduate with a B A in chemistry. Mrs Nuenke will rejoin her husband who is in the service and attached to the Atomic Energy development in Kentucky. The Malones were accompanied by Mrs. Malone's mother Mrs Elizabeth Smith and left for their Washington home for the summer.
