Montana War Hero Nominated for Capitol Postmaster
Charles L. Sheridan a Montana World War I veteran and former adjutant general has been recommended by the state board of examiners for postmaster at the state capitol. The move reverses an earlier recommendation for Henry J. Baker. Sheridan says he has not been notified and will decide in a few days. Sheridan fought on five fronts in France, was wounded four times, and gained wide notice for actions on Hill 230 after the Marne.

Montana Queen Contest to be Held at Helena
The Montana fair will stay in Helena during the war and Lewis and Clark county sponsors announce the Montana Queen contest. Last year 46 counties sent princesses and Alva Larson of Chateau represented Teton County as winner. Legion posts will co operate in selecting princesses this year.
