City Recreation League Names Teams For Boys and Girls
Recreation League director Gene Boyle announced girls softball and boys basketball teams for summer. Girls play Monday 6 30 at the baseball complex with three teams and double headers. first round June 18. Boys teams Knicks Lakers Bulls Hawks Supersonics and schedule begins June 19 with Knicks vs Supersonics and Lakers vs Bulls. Golf program starts week of June 25 with two morning sessions. Montana Winter Wheat Crop Forecast for 1973
Montana forecasts 1973 winter wheat at 61.9 million bushels, unchanged from May 1, up 28 percent from 1972 and the largest since 1969. Harvest area seen at 2.1 million acres, up 15 percent. National 1973 winter wheat output may hit a record 1,316 million bushels, 3 percent above May forecast. Sweet cherry production in Montana for 1973 is about 1,500 tons, up 25 percent from last year.
