Lighting work on North Airway progresses to night route
The northwestern transcontinental air route from St. Paul through Billings to Seattle is to be lit for night flying by fall. Aeronautical expert L. L. Jilson of the commerce department reports surveys nearing completion and work already under way from the east end. The beacon path runs St. Cloud to Fargo to Bismarck to Dickinson to Glendive to Miles City and Billings, with an alternative Dickinson to Miles City line and a spur to Glendive. Jilson has left Billings for Bozeman to finish the survey.
