Social notes and travels in Choteau district
Otto Schaefer made a business trip to Choteau last week. Jack Jensen and daughter Nellie were in Choteau last Saturday night. Miss Nellie attended the dance at Mountain View gardens. Paul Kropp and Hartrie Nelsen returned from the reservation Tuesday evening. It took about a week to drive the sheep up there. The Rev. Oliver and the Misses Kreuger and Labbs held a gospel meeting at the Breeding home on Tuesday evening. A good crowd was in attendance. Roscoe and Jay Robison were down to Chateau Tuesday evening for band practice. The Harris brothers planned to thin and weed beets but rain delayed field work for a week. They are moving the section house for a Sunday school and church use with help from Bynum district men. The Misses Kreuger and Labbs held another gospel meeting at the Breeding home Sunday at 2 00 o clock and may stage a Farmington series soon. Mr. and Mrs. Curtis and family of Brady visited Sunday. Miss K W Hartney left by train Saturday and will be in Chateau with the Hanneford family of equestrians. A week or so of rest and Great Falls trips precede California plans. More rain fell here in 36 hours last week than all year, a welcome change. Gus Nelsen hosted a ball game Sunday afternoon practice. Miss Verna Ankin is staying at the Nelsen home for a few weeks.
