The Chateau Daughters of the Nile Sewing Club met at Mrs Grace Black’s home on Wednesday July 13 with 12 members present. Members displayed dresses pop ins and Joseph’s coats to be sent to crippled children’s homes and Christmas toy donations were collected. The next meeting is at Mrs Myrtle Poore’s home. Mrs Dave Barrett hosted a coffee party last Wednesday for visiting Mrs Leah Ferris Burris from Omaha Nebraska with guests Mrs Louis Clough Mrs Cecil Cole Mrs Hilary Gollehon and Mrs John Peebles.

J Viola Herak of Charlo announces a 66 cent per pound incentive price for shorn wool for the 1967 marketing year, up one cent from the current level. Wool pulled remains supported near the incentive price, with payments tied to a producer’s cash returns and a formula using the parity index from 1958–1960. The 1967 year follows the 1965 act amendments extending wool payments through 1969.
