Bear Hunters From Way Back
Chas S Parker and Ab Purman returned from a Sun River bear hunt with four skins a black bear and three cinnamon bears. Charlie secured the black bear while Josts horse ran away. Abe chased and killed the cinnamon sow and two cubs with a single shot rifle after riding in circles. Bears are reportedly plentiful in the mountains.

Narrow escape for sawmill operator in Blacks Meaf Canyon

Death by Drowning of Joseph Daley in Teton Hole
The community mourns Joseph Daley, 20, a building contractor, who drowned after cramps while swimming with his brothers Freeman and Mimer Daley in a muddy hole below the Teton bridge. Despite divers and a raft, his body was recovered and prepared for burial at Conner undertaking. He came to the area eight years ago from Madison Minnesota and leaves a wife Beillich and two sons aged 3 and 5. He was insured for 2000 and left residence and personal effects. funeral at Methodist church in Chateau.

Two prisoners named Scott and Johnson were brought in showing they were arrested in Great Falls and held by Under Sheriff Ganong. They are wanted for robbering the Hirshbert store at Conrad on July 11 night and were found with a large portion of the stolen goods.

Englishman Dies in Well at JC Clare Ranch
Coroner C H Connor returned from Sweet Grass area to investigate the death of Leonard Charlton a 26 year old English carpenter who perished while working on a well at the JC Clare ranch. Charlton and a companion lowered the shaft about 60 feet when he issued a later hoist request and disappeared from the rope with a noose at the end. He died within moments of the fall and the body was buried in Sweet Grass cemetery.

Knife attack shocks Dupuyer, Montana in July 1910
In Dupuyer a cutting scrape left Nick Dodds wounded and Lewis Young arrested after a stabbing near the Klondge saloon. Young pleaded guilty to first degree assault and was sent to district court. concerns rise over missing deputies and local law enforcement as roughs drift into town.

Counterfeiting charged Lees family face light federal sentences
The Lees and two sons received light sentences in Helena federal court for counterfeiting. Belt drayman Thomas Jaap hanged himself July 13, despondent over his health. A Belt boy, 18 years old, was killed under a large tree near shelter.
