Wheat quota vote set for Friday in county referendum
Farmers in Teton County vote Friday on the 1957 wheat marketing quota. C B Turnbull notes that if quotas pass, 1957 price support rises to 2.00 per bushel and unit payments become 60 percent of the county rate with penalties for excess wheat. If quotas fail, price support halves to parity minus about 1.21, with no penalties on excess production. Polling sites are listed across towns.
