Four Governors Open Yellowstone With Bar Removal Ceremony
Mrs. Nellie Taylor Ross of Wyoming along with Governors J E Erickson Montana C C Moore Idaho and George H Dern Utah lead the park opening at West Yellowstone. Four bars bearing state names were removed as a Blackfoot tribal dance preceded the first visitors into Yellowstone with the opening remarks stressing the role of women travelers.
