Fire Partially Destroys Milwaukee Depot Tuesday
A fire at the Milwaukee depot Tuesday afternoon caused about 3000 in damage before firefighters contained it. The blaze began in the toilet room behind the men's waiting room, rapidly spreading to waiting rooms and office, with most damage in the offices and roof. Vital records were saved and goods moved to safety as crews opened the roof to reach the fire and suspect the oily sweeping compound in the storage room as the origin.
