The Rev. George Stull of Ocean Grove New Jersey retired United States Army chaplain and first pastor of Billings Methodist church died at Ocean Grove. He led Billings church from 1883 to 1901 and served Yellowstone county in the 1901 Montana legislature. Surviving are his widow a son Harold Stull of San Francisco and a daughter Marguerite of Los Angeles.
The estate of late Senator Thomas J. Walsh is valued at 18269 in a district court inventory filed in Helena. Real estate in Broadwater Meagher and Gallatin counties plus Walsh household furniture and a Washington apartment are listed along with mining stock and US government bonds. The report notes stock in several defunct companies including Helena Baseball Club. Administrator is William Scallon, Walsh's law partner. Walsh died last March before a cabinet post offer.
Ray Howell former chief of police at Pol son was dragged from a car robbed and beaten by two men. He stumbled into Hubbard's pharmacy semiconscious and asked for help. He described attacks by a white man and an Indian but recalls nothing of location or vehicle. Mrs Howell had no information about his whereabouts after leaving home on Finley Point hours earlier. Months earlier an unknown shooter fired at him while camping six miles east of Polson and he has carried a weapon since then.
