Bethlehem Steel’s 1943 record ships and repairs near daily output
Bethlehem Steel built 380 fighting and cargo vessels in 1943, exceeding a ship a day goal. The program included battleships, aircraft carriers, cruisers, destroyers, and Liberty and Victory ships, with 70 percent fighting craft and 30 percent cargo.
