Officials Start Terms Suspects To Be Arraigned In Courthouse
George Luth and Dennis LaFromboise, held in the Teton county jail, are set for arraignment in district court on first-degree burglary charges for the Wedum store robbery at Chateau last Thanksgiving night. A third suspect, MOSS Vareer, is jailed in Deer Lodge after a similar heist in Townsend. About $500 cash and $300 to $500 in merchandise were taken. Evidence, including clothing from the Wedum store found in a Great Falls shack, tied the suspects to the crime. Carter will be brought to Chateau after finishing a Deer Lodge sentence. Luth is 37, LaFromboise 20. Further details await formal evidence in court.

Funeral services were held at St. Joseph's church for John Bufford Gray 30 who died Sunday in a Great Falls hospital after a weeklong heart illness. Born in Choteau October 12 1916 he married Norma Smith in 1938 and leaves two children. Burial followed in Teton Canyon cemetery.

Lt Col Harold L. Boyd former Choteau school superintendent visited friends in town this week before moving on to Washington Iowa to commence a private law practice. He had served in the inspector general's office in Chicago during the war and is now on terminal leave. Previously he led Nashua schools and was succeeded at Choteau by Supt W J Shirley when drafted five years ago.

Luxembourg Guest Sees UN Peace Role and Allied Gratitude
Dr. Louise Kraus of Luxembourg told the American Legion and Auxiliary at Chateau Monday night that the United Nations may bring permanent world peace. She is Luxembourg delegate to the International Assembly of Women and will report on the UN after attending meetings at Lake Success New York. She plans six months of European lectures and later tours to explain the peace tribunal. Kraus praised American soldiers for freeing Luxembourg from Nazi occupation and noted her talks will continue in Montana under the American Association of University Women before returning to Europe.
