Toastmistress Contest Set For March 7
The annual Choteau Toastmistress Club speech contest will be held Monday March 7 at 8 p m in the Choteau Methodist Church parish hall. Contestants give five to eight minute original speeches on subjects chosen from three words submitted two weeks prior. The winner advances to the Council level in Chateau in April. Public welcome.

Horse Killed In North Choteau Auto Crash
A horse owned by Joe Ober of Fairfield was struck and killed by a northbound car driven by Frank Connor seven miles north of Choteau on U.S. Highway 89. The vehicle sustained damage requiring a wrecker. occupants uninjured. Investigating officers noted Montana vehicle fatalities down slightly this year and urged careful driving.
