Custer Battlefield Highway Representative Addresses Commercial Club
W D Fisher of Sheridan Wyoming secretary and originator of the Custer Battlefield Highway association spoke to the Choteau Commercial club detailing plans for the year and advertising work to attract tourists. He met business leaders to win memberships whose funds will support the projected work. The county board pledged road appropriation after this summer's work. The highway will be remarked from Billings to Chateau this year and later from Glacier Park to Spokane and St. Louis to Omaha. Helena obituary reports Mrs. Margaret C. Logan, wife of Rev. George Logan, a Methodist minister, died suddenly Friday night from heart trouble. She was found on the floor of the Tongan home in Helena by a roomer Saturday morning. Survived by her husband and three sons. The Logans were known to northern Montana settlers. he once pastored in Ghotean before moving to Helena.

Bank Robbery Trials Postponed to April Term
The trials of Reed Mason and Wilson for robbing the First National Bank at Fairie were carried over to the April term on County Attorney Foots motion despite objections by defense counsel Magee and Hurd. The state was not ready for trial and amended informations will be filed. the jury was dismissed to reconvene Thursday morning with the cases of Guy Newman and Al Bossilier set for today.

Freight rates cut on coal shipments in Montana moves

Four and a half year old Anna Belle Slanger daughter of Mr and Mrs George Slanger of three miles northwest of Farmington died at 3 40 Tuesday February 5 1924 from a complication of diseases. She was four years six months and five days old. She leaves three brothers and three sisters. Funeral at two oclock Friday February 8 from the Methodist Episcopal church with Rev R B Culbertson officiating. Burial in Chateau cemetery. Community sympathy extended.

May Build Brick Filling Station At Chateau
