Memory of Loy Molumby admired Great Falls lawyer laid to rest
Thousands gathered at the Elks temple in Great Falls to honor Loy J. Molumby 1891 194? a long time attorney and ex service man who died at his ranch near Bynum. The service featured Elks rites a Legion drum corps salute and burial at Mount Olivet. Molumby born Elkader Iowa graduated from Minnesota law in 1915 earned fame as an aviation ace and champion for veterans providing free legal aid to disabled veterans and housing for stranded vets after his death tributes highlighted his civic work and role in organizing the Shelby fight event backing Dempsey and Gibbons as a Legion project.

E J Liptak public administrator of Cascade county and administrator of Andrew Olson estate announced sale of two houses and four vacant lots in Choteau. Death of Joseph Igoda shocks Bynum community
Funeral services were held Tuesday at the Catholic church in Bynum for Joseph Igoda a well known farmer. The 61 year old dies Jan 28 1939 in Chateau Maynard hospital from pneumonia and typhoid fever after ten days illness. He was born October 29 1877 in Chicago and moved to Ivanhoe Minnesota then to Bynum in 1910. He is survived by seven children two sisters and three brothers.

Peterson Loses Sheriff Contest in District Court
In a Glasgow district court hearing last Thursday Judge Hurry reviewed 47 ballots in the sheriff election contest between A. O. Peterson and J. L. Billings. Billings was found three votes ahead after tallying each ballot, up from two votes before the trial. Molumby, Peterson’s attorney, requested 30 more days to prepare a bill of exception, but the case was set aside due to Molumby’s unexpected death, awaiting partners to file papers for appeal.
