Tax collection in county shows 62 percent in 1921
A statement from County Treasurer A Warner reports 1921 county taxes collected at about 62 percent of the total. Initial forecasts had estimated 75 to 80 percent but large taxpayers failed to meet the deadline. Of about 457000 in real property taxes, 287000 has been paid, leaving a delinquency of just over 160000, to be added to personal tax delinquencies. Apportioning of funds is now underway.
