Community Committeeman Election Results Announced

Results of the Dec. 6 election of ASC community committeemen for 1977 were announced this week by Harold Gaarder, chairman of the Teton County Agricultural Stabilization and Conservation Committee. Of 1422 eligible voters, 585 ballots were cast.

Choir cantata King of Kings to fill high school arena

Church choirs from Methodist Lutheran Mormon and Catholic parishes join to present the Christmas cantata King of Kings by John W. Peterson. Snortland to Lead Montana Farm Bureau Policy Committee

Everett Snortland of the Conrad area was selected to head the Policy Implementation Committee of the Montana Farm Bureau Federation. President Bernard Harkness called the committee crucial as it interprets and carries out bureau policy written at county and state levels. CHS Christmas Concert Slated At Chateau High School

The Chateau High School music department will present its annual Christmas concert on Sunday December 19 at 7 30 p.m. The band choir modern choir and a small singing group will perform with soloists Rock Perkins Jeanne Dellno and Rosa Ruiz Santillan. The choir will tape a TV program in Great Falls on December 21.

Snowmobile Registration Required in Montana in 1976

Montana snowmobilers must register their machines and display 1976 decals valid July 1 through June. New owners have ten days to register with a bill of sale. Registration begins after county assessors assess the machines, then county treasurers issue decals.

Gladys Yeager Services Held on Saturday

Longtime Choteau area resident Gladys Lenora Yeager died December 8 at Teton Memorial Hospital at age 79. Funeral services were held December 11 at the Choteau United Methodist Church with Rev. Allen Adams presiding. burial followed in Choteau Cemetery. Pallbearers were Harold Yeager LeRoy Yeager Bill McCauley George Ortner Harley Yeager and Ray Yeager. Zwerneman Mortuary handled arrangements. Yeager born March 27 1896 in Thompsonville Michigan settled near Choteau in 1910 and married Earl Yeager March 6 1912 at Great Falls. The couple farmed then moved to Chateau in 1929. She served as clerk and board member for School Districts 16 and 36. She was a member of Queen Rebekah Lodge Wi Mo Da Si Club and the Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by Earl two sons Sidney and Walter and two stepsons Wilbur and Clifford. Survivors include sons Edward and Harry of Choteau a stepson John of Choteau a sister Zella B Roney Great Falls ten grandchildren eighteen great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.

R Woodward's Funeral Rites Are Thursday

Mrs. Fred Reena Pearl Woodward died Sunday at Teton Nursing Home in Choteau aged 81. Funeral services are Thursday at 2 p.m. at Choteau United Methodist Church with burial in Chateau Cemetery. Survivors include husband Fred, son Robert D. of Las Vegas, daughter Jan Henderson of El Paso, two sisters in Iowa, three grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

Luboff Choir Tickets Near End in Montana Concert

Santa Visit and Free Movie Set in Choteau

Santa makes an official visit to Choteau on Saturday as the Chamber of Commerce coordinates a free movie at the Roxy Theatre starting at 2 p.m. Citizens State Bank sponsors the event with "Stormy The Thoroughbred Horse" shown before an hour of Three Stooge comedies for children leaving the screening.

Area Crashes Include Deer Cow Camper Victims

Highway Patrol reports multiple crashes in the region. A government vehicle hit a deer near Choteau on U.S. 89, and a second vehicle struck a deer nearby the next day. A cow owned by Bill Leys was killed on U.S. 89 near North Montana Feed Lot, and a young driver was cited for license issues after a Sunday crash. A Dutton resident rolled a pickup on an icy stretch east of Lloyd DeBruycker ranch, and a Great Falls pair suffered minor injuries from a rollover that crushed a camper in a box. An Augusta Highway 21 crash damaged the camper. occupants suffered cuts but no hospitalization.
