Thurday Charge for Remains of Alex Macaulay
C B Connor returned Saturday from Midvale to take charge of the remains of Alex Macaulay a Butte business man who died December 2 after falling from a precipice while hunting. The coroner’s inquest ruled the death accidental with no blame attached. Chas LaPage came back from the Sun River mountains at week’s start after hunting with T L Thompson D Doolittle and Ross Porter. Porter returned ten days ago and Thompson and Doolittle stay a few days longer as the party continues to obtain game meat.

Christmas Eve church program and town tree event planned
Preparations are underway at the Methodist church for a Christmas Eve entertainment with a town tree and a children’s program of songs recitations and class exercises. Six Chateau ladies formed a birthday club and hold gatherings at members’ homes. last Tuesday Mrs Beaupre hosted with guests Mrs Smith and Mrs Brown and received Haviland dinner plates after dinner.
