Vintage Model T Race Hits Montana Route
Fourteen Model T Fords rolled into Choteau as the first leg of a 600 mile Montana race from East Glacier to Circle via multiple towns. Two Dutton cars dropped out after thrown rods. others continued toward Helena with speeds around 50 mph. The Montana Model T Ford Club sponsors the event offering $1,000 in prizes and seven Ford trophies, with entrants from Montana and a few from Iowa and California.

Teton county 4-H delegates returned from the Montana 4-H Club Congress in Bozeman. Lara Hensley of Fairfield was runner-up in clothing and style and an alternate for the National 4-H Congress. Funeral rites held for 74 year old Frank M. Schabel of Dutton at St. William's Church with burial in Mount Olivet Great Falls. Born 1887 in Merrillan Wisconsin he homesteaded near Dutton and held posts with the Dutton Cooperative Association and Grain Terminal Association before retiring in 1958. He is survived by his widow Julia two sons Dr Frank M of Birmingham Alabama and Laurence of Santa Cruz California a brother Jake and many grandchildren.

Mrs Miksch Dies In Great Falls Hospital
Nellie Miksch 63 of Great Falls and former Dutton resident died Tuesday in a Great Falls hospital. Born November 19 1898 in Illinois she moved to Montana in 1915 and married Taylor Miksch in 1928. The couple lived in Dutton before relocating to Great Falls in 1959. She was a member of the Church of Christ Scientist and Alpha Chapter CES Dut on. Survived by widower sister Grace Logston Simms brothers Claire and Don Willits Simms and James Willits Great Falls.
