A Chicago Inter Ocean opinion denounces the paid spectacle of hosting and urges modest dinners and lunches. It argues women burden themselves with social obligations when aiming for fine linen and china and promotes entertaining simply at low cost.
The excerpt describes a white cloth skirt with a corselet shape and pointed front, braid edging and semicircular braid sections holding buttons. A white chiffon taf feta blouse complements the outfit, completing the described street wear ensemble.
