Man Killed in Conrad by Neighbor Hagerty in Violent Assault
Thomas Callahan, a well known Conrad County resident, died after a Saturday assault by neighbor Jerry Hagerty. Hagerty struck Callahan at a hitch rack, then continued beating him until bystanders aided him. Coroner’s inquest ruled death from heart failure brought on by the facial injuries. Hagerty is in custody with $2,000 bond. preliminary hearing set for Monday.
