John Swager and Willis Bushman faced a disturbing the peace charge after a Saturday quarrel near their homes at the town’s south edge. City Marshal John Moore detained them. Magistrate J. G. Jackson fined each ten dollars after they pleaded guilty.
Seventh and eighth grade examinations will be held at the high school in Chateau on August 22 and 23, 1929. The program lists Civics History Grammar Reading and other sessions with breaks and times as scheduled for the first day.
