Epidemic of Infantile Paralysis Reported in Local Children
Father McCormack held services for Catholics Sunday morning and evening. An unusual epidemic of infantile paralysis has appeared among children in several families, with partial paralysis and pain on movement. Most are improving, but some risk permanent trouble. W W Withee of the Conrad Montana Land Co. visited, with George Fraser of the News Twin Falls, who is handling ad work for the Conrad lands. Fraser took photos of town views and noted a moderate landing price, possibly due to absence of a railroad. Frances M Anderson, county superintendent, returned from a trip to northern county summer schools at Sweet Grass Swift Current and Lubec. Ada Wilcox, a former local graduate, teaches at Sweet Grass. 14 pupils attended. Swift Current and Lubec schools are smaller than Sweet Grass.
