Local items note Chi ppewa work shoes at Hirshberg s and John B Stetson derbies. The Guild meets Mrs Gibson May 8 afternoon. May 9 at High School auditorium features Heiress of Hoetown. Several families move or visit town including Prescott Bard Monkman Lepper and Bolton.

Henry Alvin Ritchie age 19 months 11 days son of Mr and Mrs 8 A Ritchie of Yeager ranch north of Choteau died early Sunday of pneumonia. Interment was Monday at Choteau cemetery with Rev McMahon in charge. The bereaved parents have community sympathy.
Miss Lizette Truchot entertained friends Sunday at her home. Attendees included the Misses Nagle O Neill Pressly Glazier Lepper and Mrs Lamb. J M Ryan a Conrad real estate man visited in the interest of the Montana Bond and Loan Company promoting development.
C E Trescott of the Boulder Monitor visited on Wednesday and Saturday. He plans to establish a paper in Chateau with his daughter Mrs G S Jameson and his young grandson. N Whittacre has sold yards at Kevin and Sunburst to focus on Chateau interests and buys a 45 horsepower motor truck for lumber freighting, carrying up to three tons. John Jackson Sr sold his residence to O Hanson of North Dakota and will spend summer at Coeur d Alene Idaho with Mrs Jackson, who may not stay in Idaho.
