Montana constitutional changes reshape state governance
Proposed Montana constitution keeps most officials but removes the state treasurer. Governors run with lieutenant governors as a ticket, with 20 capped departments under single executive control. The veto is limited, pocket veto banned, and a two thirds vote can override. Lieutenant governor successions and oversight provisions define succession rules and governor inquiry powers.
