Mrs Quigley Pendloy teacher recently discharged from Maynard hospital returned home Sunday.
Montana Wool Growers officials will attend a Monday meeting in Choteau to discuss wool marketing and related topics. Max Legge of the Montana Livestock Marketing Association will present findings from his Boston study, with emphasis on freight rates wool grading and range matters.
Chat eau public school trustees call for bids to improve the city building. Work includes roof reshingling, hardwood floors in the old section, a steel ceiling in the auditorium, plaster repairs, and repainting. Bids open at the next regular meeting Monday evening May 2. If bids satisfy, a contract will be let and work begins at once.
County Attorney B I Packer received word that his mother Mrs John W Packer of Delano Minnesota died after a paralytic stroke. She leaves five married daughters a husband and a sister in Washington Minnesota and Wisconsin. Funeral held in Delano with interment there.
The Chateau grade school glee clubs present The Tea House of Sing Lo at the high school auditorium on Wednesday evening May 4. Directed by Mrs Edna K Lawson the show features many youths in 18 musical numbers and scenes set in a Shanghai tea garden with East West clashes and American intrusion. Tickets sell at Rexall Drug Store with adults 50 cents children 25 cents and reserve seats 10 cents extra.
At the April school board meeting the entire teaching staff was re elected for 1932 1933. Principal Miss Ruby Miller led the list with nine other grade teachers named. A 10 percent salary reduction was approved with Miss Miller offering a 16 percent cut. several teachers had already accepted reductions, according to Clerk W G Bloomdahl.
The annual senior class play titled A Lucky Break is set for Friday April 29 at Hotel Millett. Principal A B Guthrie calls it a strong present day comedy with professional success and amateur suitability. Miss Marguerite Harris now directs with a cast including Martha Mullet Nora Mullett Candace Armstrong Elmore Ludine Smith Jane Guthrie Benny Ketcham Roy Davidson Abner Ketcham Mrs Barrett Claudia Grace Thompson Tommy Lansing Wardell Moss John Bruce Lamar Burke Charles Martin Willard Paulus Anne Eckford Phillip Eschandi Bella Mac Watt and others. Admission 50 cents adults 25 cents children with reserve seats 10 cents extra. Proceeds aim to bolster student association funds before year end.

Nine Teton county high school students leave Tuesday for Bozeman to compete in Montana State College spring scholastic events. Five winners from Great Falls district will compete in five categories, including pentathlon algebra and history. A stock judging team, an oratorical contestant, and a farm shop entrant join the group under M K Luther supervision. trip by auto. Contests run Wednesday through Friday. return Saturday.
The 1932 Teton County track meet pitted alumni against the high school squad Friday afternoon. The decisive half mile relay left the alumni ahead 56 to 52 with five points available. Davis for the alumni and Ed Yeager for the scholastics battled to a close finish, Yeager edging Davis by a few feet as the relay time of 1:38 set a new invitational record pace. Davis led the alumni with 15 points, while Yeager totaled 14 for the scholastics with top placings in the 100 yard dash, 440 and 220, and the final relay leg. Burns starred with wins in the mile and discus for the high school, and Loomis added 12 for the alumni.
