Thirty two students from Teton county high will compete Saturday in Great Falls for the annual scholastic scholarship contest. Miss Wilma Van Scharpenzeel cannot attend due to illness. a substitute is named. Twelve district schools enter. Great Falls high is allowed to participate this year. The city council met to canvass last Monday’s election. Ward one recorded 19 votes for each candidate with no write ins. Ward two showed minor shifts with W. W. Smith 25 votes for alderman, Fred Barribal 26 for treasurer, and J. G. Jackson 24 for police magistrate. The ward one alderman candidate was C. H. Malcolm.

The Teton County Corn Hog Producers association held an annual meeting last Friday. F R Swenson of Bynum was re elected chairman and C B Shaw of Fairfield vice chairman. Fred S Willson and Iona Davidson were re elected secretary and treasurer respectively. An allotment committee for the year includes Swenson Shaw and A L Myers. A L Jensen named alternate member. The executive committee set a 750 dollar budget and reviewed last year’s strong statewide performance. Prior to the executive meeting, the north half corn hog contractors elected Swenson as chairman and Jensen as vice chairman with A G Roberts of Pendroy as the other member. South community committeemen include Myers Shaw Graves Peder Lee and Q G Matkin. Myers and Shaw met with Swenson and Jensen to align the two committees.

Feed Shortage Looms Amid Severe March Snow Storm
