Zoning Ordinance Enacted in Choteau Faces Mobile Home Question
Choteau city council on Monday forwarded a Mills petition to City Attorney Leo H. Murphy to decide if the mobile home in Cowgill addition is a trailer or a mobile unit. The new zoning law bans trailers in A residential districts, complicating whether the Mills may move in. If deemed a mobile home, approval hinges on zoning, if a trailer, the board of adjustment may modify provisions after a hearing. The petition was deemed valid and signed by 13 residents representing a majority of the area’s lots.
