A dark red heifer age two years arrived in May last at the subscriber’s premises and has remained there since. The owner may claim the animal. otherwise the subscriber will hold them liable for keeping the heifer. Philip Rheingans. November 18, 1869.
Donald Shaw of Chippewa Falls Wis appoints Joseph Dobbins to settle all outstanding accounts of his late brother Niel Shaw during his absence.
A notice from November 1863 in Wheaton requests the subscriber owner of a dark red four year old steer with Dole in the right ear to come forward prove ownership pay charges and reclaim the animal. The text also contains scattered phrases about aisles and a French store.
Charley Ermatinger reports a black leather pocket book containing money and papers was lost near his saloon and residence on Saturday night or Sunday morning. The finder will be liberally rewarded by the same at his saloon.
Notice lists two nearly white oxen with red spots of medium size found at Chippewa City enclosure. Owner may reclaim after proving property and paying charges. Also reports Stanly Bros price drop from 22 to 17 cents per pound on October 29, 1869.
All persons are cautioned against buying hay on the farm occupied by Joe Cartier as he has no ownership in any hay on the place. Leboeuf and Jenette announce the warning to the public.
Strayed red cow with white belly spots on head and small horns entered the enclosure about four months ago. Owner may claim and pay charges at Martin Rach’s residence, one and a half miles from the Falls near the brick yard, by Nov. 13 1869.
