Mr. D. D. Davis reports strong water supply after sinking an 80 foot well with 50 feet of standing water. He pumps 9 000 gallons daily and notes the well remains unaffected, ensuring power for his mill gin and saw. In another note a woman from Fairhaven credits Chamberlains Colic Cholera and Diarrhoea Remedy with curing severe biliousness and recommending it locally.
Claiming to restore tired nerves and vigor, Electric Bitters is advertised as a pure vegetable medicine. It supposedly tones stomach nerves, stimulates liver and kidneys, purifies blood, improves appetite and digestion, and is sold for 50 cents or one dollar at J. R. Farrior's drug store.
