An excursion train will run from Chipley to Pensacola early Saturday morning to allow residents along the P A railroad to see the flotilla in Pensacola harbor. The round trip fare is about $1. The voyage offers a rare chance to view the battleship Texas cruiser New York and gunboat Machias up close.

State of Florida announces L. Whiddon as a candidate for Sheriff subject to Republican party action. The note urges Democrats backing the ticket and mentions tickets without extra rates, signed by L. Whiddon, a butcher.
Notice to debtors and dissolution of partnership appear in a compact local notice. The ad promotes Mre Winslow’s Soothing Syrup claiming relief for teething and diarrhea and urges buyers to demand Mrs Winslow’s Loathing Syrup by name. A foreclosure decree in the Circuit Court of Washington County Florida directs a sale of the northwest quarter of Section 4 Township 4 North Range 4 West including tenements and appurtenances. The sale to take place at Vernon courthouse door on the first Monday in April 1900 for cash to the highest bidder. D J J Nes Special Master announces sale for Christian Craft Grocery Company against U K Williams and Elizabeth Williams. Deed costs paid by purchaser.
John B. Clemmons of Willer's Ferry Florida filed notice of intent to make final proof for land in Township 2 North Range 16 West. The hearing is set before the Clerk Circuit Court at Vernon on April 21, 1900, with witnesses Parieh Aviguetus Russ Montgomery Washington Emanuel Sheffield of Millers Rentus Florida.
