An excursion train will run from River Junction to Pensacola tomorrow to allow residents to see the flotilla in port. The round trip fare from Chipley is about 1 dollar. The voyage offers a rare chance to view the battleship Texas the cruiser New York and the gun boat Machias up close.

A State of Florida filing from Washington County announces L. Whiddon as a Republican sheriff candidate subject to party action. The notice uses train imagery to urge Democrats to join, noting no extra rates for ticket holders and calling Whiddon a conductor in the race.
