West Florida route chosen for Moultrie Pensacola highway

The Moultrie Ga Chamber of Commerce selected the West Florida route after hearing claims from towns along three proposed paths. Delegations argued for their segments before scouts rendered a decision in favor of West Florida due to shorter distance and strong county commitments to build. Crittenden Acquires 2000 Acres East of Chipley for Pecans

S F Crittenden of Montgomery bought 2000 acres two miles east of Chipley from Dekle Land Co. at about ten dollars an acre. The plan is clearing, development, and pecan planting over several years with eventual profits. Meetings are planned at the Methodist church and the First National Bank declared its usual quarterly dividend.
