Two wildcat oil tests scheduled in Childress County will be spudded in the next few days. One on Frank Ehrle land north of the county Couch and one on J E Turner land near Jess Key property five miles east of Childress. Turner test aims at the sand below 7200 feet. Ehrle test targets Ellenberger formation below 7200 feet. Kirkland Pump Company will drill Turner test about 4600 feet. Continental Oil backs the Ehrle farm out share.

Former Childress Resident L. G. Cooper Dies in Arizona
