Oklahoma man fined after driving while intoxicated crash

John L. Collins of Stratford Oklahoma was fined 176.75 including costs, given a six month license suspension and jailed three days for driving while intoxicated after a two car collision at the Wilson School light. Sandy Booker McCraw, of 605 Avenue E Southeast, stopped at the light and was struck from behind, causing considerable damage, according to Chief Roy Hassell.

Ginning In County Exceeds 7 440 Bales

Bales of cotton ginned in the six Childress County gins reached 7 440 by noon today. Estimates say not more than one third of the crop is gathered. Farmers plan to use mechanical gins as weather turns cold and leaves drop. Some pickers opened balls and will machine the rest.

Seven Doctors Plan Appeals After Board Action

Dallas attorneys will file district court appeals Tuesday for six osteopaths and one medical doctor whose licenses were revoked by the Texas State Board of Medical Examiners for unprofessional and dishonorable conduct.
