Moran Rites Held Today for Fred W Moran in Childress
Final rites for Fred Willis Moran 85 were held at 4 p.m. in First Baptist Chapel with Rev. Joe S Allen and Rev. R. H Knight officiating. Burial followed in Childress Cemetery under Newberry's direction. Moran died Thursday night at Childress General Hospital after a long illness. He was born December 26 1890 in Alpine Arkansas and lived in the Tennessee Valley area before moving to Tell then Childress. He was a retired farmer and carpenter. He married Lillie Halford June 3 1911 in Childress. she died in 1967. Survivors include three sons Donald Willis and Earl Moran. two daughters Opal Jones and Oreta Dyer. one brother Jesse Moran. 25 grandchildren 53 great grandchildren and six great great grandchildren.
