Services Slated Here Friday For John McMillin
John Edgar McMillin 69 died Tuesday at Childress General Hospital after three years in ill health. Born May 4, 1886 in Leon County he came to Childress from Amarillo in 1934 and worked 42 years for Fort Worth and Denver. He was a member of the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers and Burlington Veterans Association. Final mass Friday at 10 am at Holy Angels Church, rosaries tonight and Thursday night at 8, burial in Childress Cemetery under Newberry Funeral Home. Survivors include his wife two daughters Joan Edwards Clovis NM and Jean Harris Orange two sons Jack McMillin Houston and Kelly McMillin Baytown two sisters Miss Pearl McMillin and Mrs Katherine Sherrod Fort Worth four granddaughters and two grandsons.
