Py A Caldwell, retired Fort Worth and Denver railroad engineer, died at 11 05 pm Wednesday in Childress General Hospital at age 95. Born January 17 1861 near Concord North Carolina, he moved to Childress in 1907 from Amarillo. Funeral Friday at Newberry Chapel with I E White officiating. Burial in Childress Cemetery.
Five new members of the Chil dress Jaycees received membership kits from President Larry Lawrence during today's noon meeting. Names include Kenneth Jones Wayne Borchardt Jim Wilson Dr J J Westenburg and William Sonny Ehrle. Lawrence emphasized the Jaycee Creed and members noted plans to attend the Tri Regional convention July 7 8 in Lubbock.
