Scranton Plans Grass Roots Drive After Late Presidential Bid

Scranton announced his candidacy late and will rely on grassroots support to win delegates. He plans a keynote at the GOP state convention, with backing from the National Draft Lodge Committee. George Mooradian will lead Pennsylvanian industrial growth efforts for the governor. Eisenhower gave no pledge of support after talks. He will attend a Newark fundraising dinner and meet Michigan delegates in Lansing.
