Bomb injures man amid riot unrest in Roxbury Boston
An apparently homemade bomb exploded on Blue Hill Avenue near Dorchester early today injuring Daniel A. Hills and leaving him on the danger list at City Hospital. Ten others were injured and 36 arrested as rioting, sniper fire, and looting continued for a third night in Roxbury. Police chased looters from damaged stores as Gov Volpe faced calls to declare the area a disaster. A 76 year old man, John T. Jones, was charged with unlawful possession of firearms after officers found him in a room with a pilot and rifle.
