The device and rocket were destroyed at 11 14 pm Hawaii time after a malfunction. fire raged for about 15 minutes and a two week delay was set for a new attempt.

Dallas Woman Charged Here With Vagrancy
Linda Blake of Dallas was released on a 490 dollar bond yesterday in Justice of the Peace court. She was charged with vagrancy and arrested by the Sheriff s Department. Jimmy Johnson, Childress Negro, is in the Childress County jail, charged with procuring. Johnson was arraigned in County Court and pleaded not guilty. His bond was set at 1,000 dollars. The Blake woman implicated Johnson in a statement given to Sheriff Gaylon B. Smith.
