Forty four players named for East and West squads for the Greenbelt Bowl to be played at Fair Park Stadium in Childress at 8 p.m. August 5. Lorne J. Acquin of Waterbury Connecticut was charged with nine counts of murder for the deaths of Cheryl Beaudoin seven of her children and a niece in a basement home fire. Police say the fire was likely arson and some victims were bound and beaten. Acquin held on 250000 bond awaiting arraignment. Beaudoin family and townspeople react with shock.
