British liner Reina del Pacifico with 700 passengers and 60 crew was freed from a Bermuda reef after emergency gear from England aided two tugs. Donald Jackson Blackwood, missing for two months, surfaced in Hong Kong claiming he walked into Communist China to see what it was like. U S officials confirmed the story but provided no further comment. Blackwood, a former Air Force enlisted man from Cincinnati, disappeared from Macao with his Korean wife and child on April 27. He was questioned by American consular staff and later taken to a hotel to rest. President Eisenhower prepared for his first ride in a Bell 477 Ranger today in Operation Alert.
