Watkins Suffers Leg Injury In Quanah Fall
C T Watkins 87 year old pioneer merchant and owner of Watkins Inc fell at his Quanah residence Friday evening breaking a bone in his left hip. He underwent surgery Saturday morning and was reported in excellent condition. His son Elven Watkins, formerly of Childress and now in Melbourne Fla, visited in Childress Saturday. He had suffered a broken arm about a month ago in Melbourne.
